A printed photograph becomes the ground. On top go found objects, fabric scraps, marbled paper and whatever else the piece asks for.

Textile work
Sashiko running stitch and boro patchwork, fabric collected on trips, and poured resin. Mended, layered and sealed by hand.
About
Ben Abraham is the mind and body behind BENJO WORLD. Every print, patch and stitch passes through his hands.
When he's home, BENJO WORLD runs out of Belvedere, his home and studio. The rest of the time, it travels with him.
Ben trained in cinematography at NYU Tisch and spent five years on the steering committee for AIGA DC's Design Week. Today he co-chairs the Plaza Midwood Artists Studio Crawl and builds BENJO WORLD in focused sprints, often around time on the road.

What makes each piece one of a kind?
Everything is made by hand, one at a time, on the material you choose (archival paper, sheet metal, wood or canvas wrap). Small shifts in ink, edge and surface mean no two pieces are exactly alike. That's the point.
How much is shipping, and how long does it take?
